I'm so sorry for the delay in posts. To say it's been busy here is an understatement! I have wrapped up Ellie's stocking! I'm taking it in for finishing tomorrow. Sorry, no peeking! I don't want my sister to see it completely stitched. (I don't think she reads my blog, she's not a stitcher, but you never know! ;) ) As the stocking has been consuming my stitching time, I was a little stumped about what to blog about and then I started thinking....
I wonder how many people like to stitch at home vs. travel to their LNS (local needlepoint shop) or somewhere else to stitch? I like to do both!
One of my most very favorite ways to spend a day is curled up in my favorite chair in sweet solitude other than the "kids" aka, cat & 2 dogs and a needlepoint project. It gets even better if Turner Classic Movies has lots of great movies from the 40's on and it's snowing! (A girl can dream!) Another favorite way to spend some time is to pack up my stitching and head to a friends house or to the needlepoint shop for a little stitch in! (Snow also further excites me on these days!)
Have needles will travel. Wouldn't it be nice if all we needed was needles and we would be set. I'm not that easy.... I'm a gadget girl! Magnets, needle slides, multiple scissors, laying tools, tacks, etcetera, etceteraa, etceteraaaa! (Get it, The King & I, old movie?!? ;) ) So, what's IN my travel necessity bag you ask? Let me show you!
First of all, you need the right bag! I LOVE this one! It's CLEAR so I can see everything inside it, OK, well everything that isn't obstructed by something else. It's 5x7" so its easy to drop in almost any stitching bag or even a purse! AND.... it holds A LOT!
I actually have a couple of these ready to go, so if one is in a project tote, and I feel like working on another project, I can just grab and go!
See all this??? Yes indeed! It ALL fits inside that bag!
*SUPER Sticky Post It's, I LOVE them for beading!
