It seems like a good day to tell you a little more about me. Everyone know the FABULOUS Kelly Clark? She's been mentoring me and giving me TONS of WONDERFUL advice! One of the first things she said to me was to "find my style, something that would set me apart." I now have my first problem! If everyone will please take out their dictionaries and go to the word ECLECTIC it says, "Choosing what appears to be the best from diverse sources, systems, or styles" and over in the far right hand margin, THERE'S MY PICTURE!!! So, I decided that eclectic would be my style, that's why there are lots of colors and if I seem a little "all over" in the designs it's because that's how I am. I like design styles from French country to ultra modern! I have always been that way, and it's one of the things that I like most about myself, (I LOVE to mix and match styles!) but it also can be a source of great frustration when trying to make decisions or define my style.
What's the point of that rambley paragraph? I would like to share with you what I love to stitch and sometimes, it's other designers canvases! I love them, after all, I AM a stitcher! So... that being said.... meet project STOCKING! This is for my niece, Ellie. Isn't she a cutie and to make this even more special, her birthday is CHRISTMAS DAY! It's still under "stitch-struction" so bear with me!
Me: "HEY! What's up?"
Amy: "Is Aunt Robbie there?"
Me: "WHAT?" (Very confused)
Amy: "Is AUNT ROBBIE there?"
Me: "Amy... this is Rob, you called me, are you OK?" I'm thinking to myself, "OH, she fell and hit her head or is having some reaction to something!"
Amy... LAUGHING: "I KNOW, is AUNT ROBBIE there?"
Me: "WHAT???? OMG, NO! WHAT??? REALLY???" and I RUN SCREAMING and flailing my arms across the parking lot to the cars of my loyal stitcher friends, "I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!! I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!! I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!!"
My friends all celebrated and were ALMOST as excited as I was!
That's all for now, so HAPPY STITCHING!
